A bit of growth

My haworthia attenuata, aka Spikey had started to make an attempt at a flower, but the tip of it has gone abit weak and i don't think anything is going to come of it :( but on the positive side its 3rd baby growing on the side seems to be dong really well. I'm thinking of not repotting the baby as i have done with the others and just letting them grow on the side, my friend Hannah has many like this in her garden and it does look nice.

Aqua, aka pachira aquatica is doing rather well and is sprouting some new leaves, yay.

My newest plant

Is sublime venom, scilla violacea, i saw this in the garden center and even though i have alot of plants and im moving soon i just had to get it, its so strange, i love the strange looking plants, my nan doesn't like it much and my cat tried to eat it! I had to stop her fast as it poisons if eaten! Silly kitty.

The rest of my plants

My other plants are:

Aqua, pachira aquatica, i got this little tree in ikea, when i googled it later i found out they grow upto 60ft in the wild! but that would take years, i thought i saw a face on it so i drew it on with a little nail varnish, bad i know but cute.

Choe, kalenchoe, oliver got me a plant and left it on the train, he felt bad and got me this little choe to replace it, its grown quite alot. it has had flowers and after deadheading the dead flowers it has started to flower again.

Tom, Moz and Roz, these are my tomato plants i have been growing from seed, this is a old picture and i will update soon with a new pic they are much bigger now! I orginally planted 8 seeds, only 1 of the seeds didn't make it and the rest where all very happy so i gave one to my freind sam, one to oliver and one to nathalie and hannah. They are all doing quite well and these will probably be the most regularly updated as they grow so fast and im expecting flowers and the fruits (fingers crossed).

Elephant foot (lesliei aliornica), violet (lesliei burcheli) and mardie (marmorta 'diutina'), they are my lithops and i fell in love with elephant foot last autumn at the garden center with my nan, i since got the others and i love how strange they look, i am looking forward to it having flowers later on.

Star, sempervivum, i got this plant from the pound shop in christchurch, it was reproducing itself so i took the offshoots off the main plant and gave one to sam, i plan to give the other one to my cousin gerogia in the summer.

My love of plants

My love of plants has made me want to share them with the online world so i made this blog. These are my first plants, my very first plant my lovely friend hannah gave me last summer, it is haworthia attenuata i called it spikey, it has had two babies since then, one of which i gave to my friend sam. my other first plants are my orchid (orca), aloe peglerae (aloe), lithops lesliei aliornica (elephant foot), euphorbia enolpa (prickly catapilla) cactus and gyhnocalyrium mihanovichii (flower) cactus. I like to give my plants names because they all have personalities.
